Executive Director

With a deep commitment to serving our nation's heroes, Kesia brings a wealth of experience, empathy, and a strong desire to end Veteran homelessness. Kesia has over 20 years of program and financial management experience supporting the Department of Defense.  As a Veteran herself, Kesia has insight into the unique challenges and struggles faced by those who have served our country. This knowledge fuels her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of Veterans and ensuring that no Veteran is left without a home.  She believes that every Veteran deserves a safe and stable place to call home, and she works tirelessly to make that belief a reality.

 

Beyond her professional dedication, Kesia possesses a genuine heart for people. She believes in treating others with kindness, respect, and compassion, guided by the principle of treating people the way she wants to be treated. This approach fosters an inclusive and supportive environment within our organization and helps create lasting connections with the Veterans we serve.

 

In her personal life, Kesia finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. She cherishes the moments shared with her family and understands the importance of creating a nurturing and loving environment for those she cares about. This same dedication extends to her work with Veterans, as she considers them an extended family that deserves the utmost care and support.

 

Kesia’s commitment to helping others goes beyond her role as Executive Director.  She actively seeks out opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.  Whether it's through volunteering, mentoring, or collaborating with community organizations, she strives to make a difference and uplift those in need.

 

A lifelong learner, Kesia embraces new challenges and enjoys expanding her knowledge in various areas.  She recognizes the importance of staying informed and updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices related to addressing Veteran homelessness.  This commitment to continuous learning ensures that the Veterans Initiative Program remains at the forefront of innovative solutions and approaches.

 

With Kesia at the helm, VIP is driven by a strong vision to end Veteran homelessness and a genuine dedication to serving those who have served.  Her compassion, personal experiences, and unwavering commitment make her an invaluable asset to our organization and a beacon of hope for our Veteran community.
